Typhoon Yolanda: Prayer-Awareness-Preparedness!!!

Cebuano's are getting used of the aftershocks after the traumatic earthquake and here comes a super typhoon threatening to hit Cebu again. We can’t stop it from happening but we can prepare for it.

Here are some tips to prepare:
  • First, do not Panic!
  • Secure non perishable goods/food. Enough to survive for 2-3 days.

  •  Stock clean drinking water.
  •  Make sure to have basic medicines.
  •  Pack some clothes and secure all important documents.
  • Secure flashlight (better battery operated)
  • Radio to monitor news
  • Research can also help you prepare but sometimes will cause panic
  • Must prepare an evacuation plan if necessary
  • Make sure all cellphones are fully charged, communication is very important.
  • Follow advise from the government/authorities if in need to evacuate.
I am not an expert on this field but I hope this could help. Always remember "PAP" Prayers-Awareness-Preparedness will always be our shield against disaster.

Let us all pray for our safety. Surely our Almighty God will Bless us all!!!

Tubod Flowing Waters Resort, Minglanilla Cebu City

One of my throwback posts here. We were so lucky to be the first customers of Tubod Flowing Water in Upper Pakigne Tubod Minglanilla South of Cebut City.
As mentioned on the previous post, I was not so keen with details before so here are some photo's from Tubod. My workmates were able to visit the place and it is too far from the Tubod on its first month. There was just a single pool before and got big pools with slides now.
I don't know how much is the entrance fee now but way back on the opening it was just 100php then free zorb ball ride.
This is my favorite, the humongous rubik's cube.
 The man-made volcano.

My bestfriend Dino. Got lots of naughty photos with him but I only chose this.

It was 2 years ago but the Thrifty Wanderer had been to Tubod Flowing Waters :D

Hidden Valley Mountain Resort, Pinamungajan Cebu- Throwback Post

Throwback post time...Expect to read throwback posts in the coming days.

My first year here in Cebu was full of travels and adventures with my cousins touring and showing me around Cebu.

Here are some photos. I was not an active blogger before so, I was not so particular with the details, but I hope the photos can help.

This is Hidden Valley Mountain Resort in Pinamungajan South part of Cebu. Its name describes its location. It's really a hidden resort on top of a Mountain. It was a long travel for us.

They have rooms for overnight stays and also cottages for day use if you just want to use the pool and go fishing.

We enjoyed the fish feeding on this pond where you can go and fish as well.

I can't locate some of our photos, on this orchidarium anymore.I know we have a lot...hmmm...

The pools and rooms...

LANTAW- NATIVE FLOATING RESTAURANT, Cordova, Cebu

LANTAW- "SEE"
We are still experiencing series of earthquake aftershocks here in Cebu and also in Bohol. Just last Sunday, we were awaken by the tremors again. Staying inside the house makes us all more nervous that caused us to think negatively about the situation. So, my dear cousin contacted us and picked us up; to pay visit  Sto. Niño church and stroll around Cebu for us not to feel the trembling of the ground.
Think of me as shallow minded but, it was a dream come true for me. We've been planning to visit the place but never had time to do so. hahaha!
The place is very relaxing...Yes, that view is just in Cebu...

It was already 1pm when we arrived in the area. It's a well known place in Cebu so, you can just ask around for directions on how to reach it.

They really have a wide area and according to one of their staffs, they are soon to open another branch in SRP ( South Road Properties). They also have branch in Busay, overlooking the city of Cebu.
The place is very romantic and very peaceful. So ideal for romantic dates or if you just want to get away of the city for a while.

They have unique glasses, right? Those are just jars of mayonnaise.

If you visit the place, I highly recommend their baked tahong...Hmmm...I can still remember the taste...

Evidence, that we were not so hungry...LOL!
Another dream come true for Miss Blue your Thrifty Wanderer...
