Bantayan Island Adventure with the Gang...

Since it's summer let’s start with our summer adventures last year with my friends at work!
We were all stressed out with work last year, May 2012 we visited one of the famous island in Cebu, Bantayan Island. We set the date and let Christian our friend contact the resort. We don't have that much budget for that trip!hehehe! We let him organized everything and laid off our budget. Guess what? For only 1, 500php per head, no more no less and we should fit on that budget.
Since we were all working in a call center, we all reported to work the night before we set off to Bantayan Island. We even brought our things in the office!

We took a non-aircon bus to Hagnaya and paid 125php each... because of  the  road constructions at that time we traveled for almost 4 hours. Take note that travel thru buses are scheduled. We started our trip excitedly chatting and laughing, the next hour sleeping until we got here. I can't remember the name of the place. A short stop-over, where travelers can buy snacks or eat breakfast. Since we don't have that much budget we bought water, junkfoods some bought the famous pusu and bbq. We ate inside the bus.hehehe! One companion took this pic from the bus, while we were discussing what to buy.

After 4 hours of travel, finally we arrived at Hagnaya, we don't have pic since we were in hurry to get in the Ferry. We just paid for terminal fee 15php and rode the ferry. It was funny because we were all wondering where and how are we going to pay, but the fare was collected inside the ferryboat while I was sleeping I remember.hehehe! Thanks to Aileen, she paid for me. 180 php ordinary. And here's our pic during an hour trip via Ferry boat.
After an hour travel via ferry, alas we arrived in the famous Bantayan Island. So, our trip organizer Christian contacted the driver of the Resort. Here's Christian's pic..hehehe! According to Teache "Kaya niyang aliwin ang sarili niya"..wahahahaha!
And we arrived at KOTA BEACH. We automatically process our reservation at the front desk. We got 3 non-aircon rooms for 790php per room.
Picture....Sheena and Miko..

Cameras are starting to be busy...Aimee and Zhai...

3 persons per room except for our room, 4 of us shared the room with 2 beds for us to save of course...The room is not that cozy. Anyways, we're there to enjoy the beach not the room. As long as we have rooms to secure our things and change our clothes its okay. Remember the 1, 500 budget we have...hehehe!
Here's another pic of the other room, just look at the room not the man on the pic...Peace Miko...

All were settled until we realized that we were all hungry. Kota beach is near the market place but it was our first time so we don't know yet, how to get there. There were lots of "sikad" outside the resort so we rode a sikad and asked for a place where we can have our late lunch. Time checked, it was already 2pm.
Miko feeling sikad driver...
 Ai and Mike...
Chan and Zhai...

The sikad drivers brought us here:

HR Barbecue Restaurant...We told each other that we'll have a feast for it's our first day in Bantayan. We ordered food by pair. I guess we just spent 150+php for that meal and we enjoyed it.
Smile guys...

We went back to the resort after that joyful feast. And all were excited, the beach fun officially opens...
Me and Sheena met the "bangkero" for our island hopping the following day. Photo was taken by one of the employees of the resort who contacted the bangka for us. To close the deal we paid 500php initial payment. Stolen shot by kuya jun? I'm not sure, but I think that was his name.
This is view in KOTA BEACH...

The girls are now ready to take a dip in the water...

 So relaxing...
 And Barkada pic trip starts...!!!
Credit to Zhai our "Dakilang Photographer and choreographer...

 Weetttweeew!!!
 Hmmmm...who's that..???hehehe!
We also brought volleyball ball and played in that beautiful shore...
Sheena and Kuya and who the hell was at the back???hehehe!
Our first bonding with Ting's kuya...
Sheena, Kuya, Teache and me went back to our room to change clothes because someone offered us bikes for rent, 80php for 4 hours.Hmmm...another adventure...Biking around Bantayan...
While we're busy preparing for the biking trip our friends left in the shore had their inuman session with the Jellyfish... DENR, here's our evidence...

What are you doing..???
Don't forget your favorite past time...Inuman...

3 bottles of RED Horse

And the drunken jellyfish...poor jellyfish...

So, we're all set and ready for biking but before we do that we took pictures of ourselves.
Kuya and Sheena Happy together!!!

Teache...pic was taken near Sugar Beach
Aheemmm...lol!
I took this pic near their cemetery, when we were on our way to Ugtong Cave. We don't know where was it and thanks to the good people of Bantayan.
We're almost there...Another set of pics again to document the biking session.
You'll pass by this beautiful bougainvillea gate wall, it's a sign that you're already near Sta. Fe Beach Club where the Ugtong cave is located.

WELCOME TO SANTA FE BEACH RESORT!!!
Evidence that we were there.
We were not able to took pictures at Ugtong Cave since we are not guest of the said resort and it's already 5pm.
The people working at Santa Fe were accommodating, though we are not their guests they allow us to take pictures anywhere around the resort.
Inside the reception/receiving area.
They also have souvenirs for sale. We just took pictures since we don't have budget for it..hahahaha!
We also asked for pamphlets since it was the reason we told the guard that's why he let us in. It was an advice from one of the locals outside who looked after our bikes. They are already used to visitors who went there just to take pictures of the place.
Already dark when we drive back to our resort. We have to prepare our dinner. This time not from a fancy restaurant. Saving...remember..? We still have time to use our rented bikes so, we went to the market, texted the other group to meet there. We bought 5 liters mineral water, 1 whole letchon manok ,bbq and pusu of course.
Outing will never be complete in Cebu without pusu.
Bbq! We have no other pictures of that meal because we were all hungry. We just brought outside each rooms' small table and dine as family. That shared meal cost only 54php per head.
So, while we were sleeping on the other room. The three of them were so busy with their henna tattoos. Good thing we brought our own artist...Aimee...Goodnight...Part 2 of our Bantayan Adventure tomorrow...ZZZzzzzz...
