Basdaku Moalboal, Cebu

The summer heat is on plus El Niño is in action, most of us are excited about the weekend and busy searching online for best places to spend the weekend with. Some may have already booked flights to other places and some just opt to look for beautiful beaches around Cebu. My Nanay who's having her vacation here in Cebu asked us to spend our weekend on a beach. She wanted to bury her legs in the sand (a sort of therapy for her).

We picked our cousin in Naga City and set forth to our Moalboal adventure. It was around 3-4 hours drive from the city. 

I tried to contact inns/accommodation before we left the city but since it's summer, most hotels were fully booked. Given such situation, gamble and still continue with our weekend getaway. Basdaku is the popular beach destination in Moalboal. The moment we get-in we were informed that it's already fully-booked unless we have tents or we are willing to rent tents; in which most tourists would do.

  We are willing to rent tents by that time, but good thing someone approached us and informed that a booked room in Nanay Terry's Beach resort was canceled. We took the offer and bid for a lower price since there are only 5 of us. It was supposed to be 3,500php good for 8 persons with 2 beds, but we got it for 2,500php.

It was almost sunset when we arrived, so we visited the shore to feed our eyes with the beauty of the sunset.

We woke up early and strolled around...

It was a great Moalboal experience with family!!!

Dakong Bato in Dalaguete

This post has been long due. It should have been posted last year but because of some circumstances, it was stuck in my draft. hahaha... Better late than never so I'm still posting this anyway. Our visit in Dakong Bato was part of our tour in Dalaguete and our climb to Osmeña Peak last year (come to think of it).

Dakong Bato is located in the Southern part of Cebu at Barangay Coro, Dalaguete. It's on a cliff along the way with two pools for those pool lovers and also has access to the sea, so you really have options. In our case, we tried both even though it was gloomy during our visit.

There's space for parking for those who will bring a car.

For Day Use from 8AM to 6PM

- Entrance fee of Php100/adult and Php75/kid ages 3-12

- Php2,500 for the gazebo w/ the videoke in the north wing (capacity: 50 persons)

- Php1,500 for the gazebo in the south wing (capacity: 30 persons)

- Php500 for a large cottage (capacity: 25 persons)

- Php400/300 for a small cottage (capacity: 15/10)

- Tables and chairs @ Php200 (good for 6 persons)

- A corkage fee of Php50/head for check-in guests and Php25/head for walk-in guests for misc. foods and drinks brought in, Php500 for an entire lechon

- For night use starting at 6PM to 10PM: additional Php25/head

SIDETRIP:Boljoon, Cebu

We had an unplanned road trip to Oslob, the beginning of this year. If you read some of my blogs, most of my travels around Cebu mostly were on the Southern part and one of my favorite spots in South is Boljoon. I got nothing more to say because this is not the first time I blogged about the place. Just want to share the new photos I got :-)
